INAUGURATION OF KIKT OFFICE AT AGUNG SEDAYU TOWER

Good relations between Indonesia, Japan, and Korea became an inspiration for the chairman of the China Committee at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Garibaldi Thohir to develop similar things in Indonesia’s diplomatic relations with China.

The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) formed the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry - China Committee (KIKT) to attract more Chinese investors to invest in Indonesia. KIKT will work closely with the government to ensure that Chinese investors can run their business well and get the best partners in Indonesia. In the end, it is hoped that this will also increase Indonesia’s exports to China.

On March 27th 2023, KIKT office was inaugurated at the Agung Sedayu Group Tower, Pantai Indah Kapuk, Jakarta. The event was attended by the Chairman of KIKT, Garibaldi Thohir, Deputy chairman of international relations at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Shinta Kamdani, Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir and Minister of Investment, Bahlil Lahadalia and also members of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  “KIKT is the only committee in KADIN that has an office. KIKT not only develops trade relations between the two countries, but also wants to encourage cultural diplomacy, people to people diplomacy to be established between Indonesia and China. So I hope there will be an increase in trade relations, as well as relations between people, the Chinese and Indonesian, culture and tourism,” said Garibaldi.
