MINISTRY OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HOUSING CARRY OUT THE SIGNING OF THE KAMAL – TELUKNAGA – RAJEG TOLL ROAD CONCESSION AGREEMENT

Jakarta – The Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) together with the Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) continue to build toll roads in order to increase connectivity. Toll Road connectivity is an important component in driving economic transformation towards the manufacturing and service sectors.

“Today we carry out the signing of the Kamal – Teluknaga – Rajeg Toll Road Concession Agreement (PPJT) where this toll road has a total length of 38.60 km and is a Government Cooperation Project with Business Entities (KPBU) on Business Entity Initiatives (unsolicited project),” said Minister of Public Works and Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono in his instruction at the Kamal – Teluknaga – Rajeg Toll Road PPJT event which was held at the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Tuesday (1/8/2023).

Minister Basuki said, the construction of the Kamal – Teluknaga – Rajeg Toll Road was initiated by PT Duta Graha Karya with an investment value of Rp. 23.22 trillion with a concession period of 40 years from the issuance of the Work Letter of Commencement (SPMK).

Miftachul Munir, Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT), said the construction of the Kamal – Teluknaga – Rajeg Toll Road aims to develop the northern part of Tangerang Regency. Apart from that, it is also an effort to manage and improve the traffic flow in Banten Province and DKI Jakarta Province.

“For Sections 1 to 4 starting from the Sedyatmo to Kohod Toll Road, the construction is targeted to be completed and start operating in 2025, then for Sections 5 to 8 from Kohod to Rajeg the construction is targeted to be completed in 2026,” said Munir.

The Managing Director of PT Duta Graha Karya, Nono Sampono, added that the construction of the Kamal – Teluknaga – Rajeg Toll Road is intended to support the acceleration of government infrastructure development in overcoming congestion and contributing to improving the economy.
