SOCIAL SERVICE, BEACH CLEANING AND MANGROVE PLANTING IN TANJUNG PASIR VILLAGE TO COMMEMORATE MARINE AND AIR POLIC UNIT'S 73RD ANNIVERSARY

In celebrating the 73rd Anniversary of the Marine and Air Police Unit (Polairud), which falls on 1st December 2023, the Indonesian Police Security Maintenance Agency of the Marine and Air Police Unit carried out activities to plant 73 thousand mangrove seedlings, in accordance with the Marine and Air Police Unit's 73rd Anniversary throughout Indonesia.

Therefore, on 25 November 2023, the area of Tanjung Pasir Village, Teluknaga Sub-District, Tangerang Regency, held a series of activities of Social Service, Beach Cleaning and Mangrove Planting of 2000 trees led by the Commissioner General of Police Dr. H. Mohammad Fadil Imran, M.S., as Chief of the Indonesian Police Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam) and his staff. This event was also attended by Dr. Nono Sampono as Executive Director and Restu Mahesa as Estate Management Director of Agung Sedayu Group.

The Indonesian Police Security Maintenance Agency emphasized that planting mangroves is very important. From this mangrove planting, life from several ecosystems can be revived. "On the occasion of Marine and Air Polic Unit's 73rd Anniversary, we are all restoring the function of mangrove forest areas, which globally, according to the "Global Mangrove Alliance", approximately 60% have been lost and have been degraded. And Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest mangrove forests in the world. Thank you to ASG for continuing to concentrate on its development to preserve the northern coastal areas of Jakarta and Banten," said H. Moh. Fadil Imran in his speech.

In this social service event, the first activity carried out was beach cleaning at the Tanjung Pasir Fish Auction Place (TPI), which was then followed by planting 2000 mangrove seedlings at the Tangerang Mangrove Center, Tanjung Pasir.

This activity can provide benefits in the future, both for the environment, the development of ecotourism as an effort to preserve the mangrove ecosystem and rehabilitate coastal land.

It is also hoped that this event can provide motivation to make Indonesia more advanced and increase our awaress of preserving nature.
