PIK2 AND TANGERANG MANPOWER OFFICE LAUNCH SECURITY TRAINING TO STRENGTHEN LOCAL WORKFORCE COMPETITIVENESS
In order to improve community competence while reducing unemployment, PT Pantai Indah Kapuk Dua, Tbk (PIK2) together with the Tangerang Regency Manpower Office (Disnaker) officially launched the Security Training Program on June 24, 2025. This activity took place at the UPTD Job Training Hall, Kosambi District, and became the first milestone of strategic collaboration in the development of more ready-to-work local human resources.
This training program is part of PIK2’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, specifically designed to empower communities surrounding the development area. Held from June 23 to 27, 2025, the five-day program delivered modern, industry-standard security training, covering both basic and technical competencies required for security personnel.
The Regent of Tangerang, H. Moch. Maesyal Rasyid, M.Si., also attended the opening ceremony and expressed his appreciation for the synergy between the private sector and the local government. He mentioned that so far 52 residents have participated in the security unit training supported by instructors from Banten Police and the National Police Headquarters. These participants are projected to serve in the PIK2 area as well as other developments that continue to grow in Tangerang Regency. “I hope the results that have been trained by instructors from the Police can be carried out by friends who have just been trained,” he said.
In line with that, the Head of the Tangerang Regency Manpower Office, Rudi Hartono, emphasized that this program is a concrete form of the link and match concept, integrating direct training with employment opportunities. “This training not only provides skills, but also directs participants to the world of work,” he said.
Rio, as the Head of CSR of PT PIK2, explained that the company is committed to prioritizing the employment of local people. "We optimize so that we can employ these youths at PIK2. Even those who do not pass the selection will have more provisions to compete out there because this training will be equipped with a Gada Pratama training certificate, equipped with a security guard member card," he said.
One of the participants, Rifqi Faldino from Bojong Renged Village, Teluknaga District, expressed his gratitude for this opportunity. “I hope that with this experience, I can move forward and get a more decent job,” he said.
This security training program is the first step in a series of vocational training that will be run in the future. The main focus is to form a community that is not only ready to work, but also able to compete in the midst of the demands of the labor market.
Through structured collaboration, PIK2 and the Tangerang District Manpower Office reaffirm that sustainable regional development encompasses both physical growth and human capital advancement.
