On October 22nd 2024, PIK2 held a lively Language Month celebration activity through art performances and storytelling with children from Teluknaga, Kosambi and Pakuhaji Sub-Districts at the Marketing Gallery Pasir Putih PIK2.

In the “Literacy Corner – Language Month Special Edition”, the children enthusiastically displayed their talents through various performances, such as the regional dances from East Kosambi children, singing and dancing with performances from Tanjung Pasir children, and operetta or drama performances from Pakuhaji’s children. Not only that, children also wear traditional clothes from various regions.

The event was also attended by Dr. Ir. H. Restu Mahesa, M.M. as Director of Estate Management PIK, Lucia Aditjakra as Sales & Marketing Director PIK2, and Miranda DWK as Advertising & Promotion Director of Agung Sedayu Group who also provided full support for this activity. All invited guests also enlivened the event by wearing batik clothing that reflected their love and pride in Indonesia’s cultural heritage.

To add to the excitement of this Literacy Corner event, this time there was also a storytelling activity performed by Ria Enes and Suzan Doll to entertain the children and invite them to actively participate in this event.

“Hopefully what we can hear today can become knowledge and provision for all of you. These children will grow up one day and will also be part of the groups or communities at PIK2 too,” said Restu Mahesa.

It is hoped that this Language Month celebration will continue to inspire children to love Indonesia, foster pride in Indonesian culture, and appreciate the diversity of regional languages in Nusantara.
