DISTRIBUTION OF SOCIAL AID TO RESIDENTS OF KAPUK MUARA, PENJARINGAN DISTRICT
As a demonstration of its commitment to the well-being of the surrounding community, Agung Sedayu Group, in collaboration with the Buddha Tzu Chi Indonesia Foundation, once again showed its dedication by distributing 2,000 rice packages to residents of Kapuk Muara Urban Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta.
The aid distribution event took place on Friday, February 21, 2025, and was attended by Dr. Ir. H. Restu Mahesa, MM, Director of Estate Management at Agung Sedayu Group, along with Agung Sedayu Group management staff, local community leaders (RW heads), military and police representatives (TNI-Polri), and beneficiary residents.
The rice distribution from Agung Sedayu Group and Buddha Tzu Chi Indonesia Foundation was specifically aimed at underprivileged families, the elderly, and low-income residents in Kapuk Muara. Both organizations continuously strive to make a tangible impact on the community, and this initiative is part of Agung Sedayu Group’s commitment to supporting community welfare, particularly in food security.
The recipients warmly welcomed the aid and expressed their gratitude for Agung Sedayu Group’s concern for their social conditions. Programs like this are expected to help improve residents’ quality of life and strengthen the bond between the company and the local community.
Supri (48), a sanitation worker in Kapuk Muara, was among the beneficiaries who felt deep appreciation for this assistance. The RT 01/RW 05 resident was grateful to receive 5 kg of rice from ASG and Tzu Chi Indonesia. "I already got my rice earlier, we lined up according to our RW. Alhamdulillah, sir. This really helps, I truly needed it," said Supri, his face filled with gratitude.
Supri learned about the rice distribution through the RW 05 head, who informed residents of Kapuk Muara—especially those in RW 05—that they would receive aid.
With initiatives like this, it is hoped that more organizations and individuals will be inspired to give back and contribute to the welfare of the surrounding community.
