PIK2 is back to present new facilities as a means of support for residents in this area. Today, Thursday, 8th of August 2024, the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Chevalier School PIK2 was held, which is a national Catholic school will be established at PIK2.

Located in the very strategic Millennial Park PIK2, close to the Interchange Gate 2 toll gate, only ± 2 minutes and also close to the Milenial, Casa Pasadena and Kota Bagan clusters. This makes it easier for residents in these clusters to send their children to school here. The Milenial Park PIK2 area is designed to be a pedestrian-friendly thematic destination that is also equipped with super complete facilities such as Si Mian Fo cultural and religious tourism, a 24-hour millennial fresh market, thematic shophouses, shopping streets, food courts, and educational facilities, one of which is the first Chevalier School.

The event began with the inaugural Groundbreaking Blessing Mass led by Father Samuel Pangestu, Pr. Vicar General of KAJ and was also attended by Edison Djingga, Chairman of the Chevalier School Foundation, Steven Kusumo as CEO of Agung Sedayu Group and the directors of Agung Sedayu Group. "Certainly, we always believe that education is an investment. An investment for the future of the younger generation. We really hope that the presence of Chevalier School can bring a high standard of education, quality and also to produce high quality student graduates who contribute to the environment. I also hope that all of us as a team can bring this spirit and motivation to work hard until we get a meaningful education as it is an investment," said Steven Kusumo in his speech.

This Chevalier School will have 4 levels of education from kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school. The kindergarten and elementary schools will be opened first in the 2025-2026 academic year where registration will begin on August 8th, 2024. With an independent national curriculum, this school focuses on teachers as facilitators so that students are educated to be independent, confident, initiative, team work and have the ability to solve problems systematically and well. Always eager to find out and be broad-minded. Supported by active Indonesian, English and Mandarin language skills.

Pastor Samuel Pangestu also explained "That if the children can believe in Jesus, Jesus is God who is always there for them through his holy spirit and let them feel comfortable, peaceful, serene because God is always within them."

The construction of this Chevalier School carries the first 'green school' concept which means that humans are born from the earth and will return to it. In accordance with the curriculum applied, learning will be more fun learning in nature in order to comply with the green school concept of green learning as well as outdoor activities that are full of achievements (sports and competitions) and the Chevalier School will emphasize that language will be the main focus, so that it is no less good than students from international schools.
40% of this school building will be used as green land with various facilities such as vegetable and fruit gardens, kindergarten and elementary school playgrounds, jogging track, football field, rock climbing, basketball court, volleyball court, badmintoon court, computer room, art room, auditorium, 2-storey library, and roof garden. Green areas will not only be around the building, but will also be placed at various levels on the 3rd floor, 5th floor, and so on.

With the presence of this school, it will surely further add to the completeness of the facilities in the PIK2 area and will become one of the school choices that is long awaited by the residents of PIK2 and its surroundings.
