On Thursday, August 22nd 2024, the Community Development PIK2 in collaboration with the Sejahtera Jaya Group located in Adidaya Village PIK2, Lemo Village, Teluk Naga Sub-District, held an event to release ±20,000 catfish seeds in the Ketahanan Pangan (Ketapang) program. This event is part of efforts to improve the welfare of local communities through sustainable and productive catfish cultivation. This activity involved all group members who participate in supporting this program and improving the local economy.

The aim of releasing catfish seeds is to advance the fisheries sector in Lemo Village, as well as provide opportunities for members of the Sejahtera Jaya Group to improve their standard of living. With capital from good quality catfish seeds, hopefully this group can develop a profitable fishing business, so that it not only supports local food needs but also creates new jobs for village communities.

Great hopes are pinned on the success of this cultivation, so that it can become a pilot project for other villages around Teluk Naga Sub-District. It is hoped that through this program, Lemo Village can become one of the centers producing good quality catfish in the region, as well as making a positive contribution to improving the welfare of the community as a whole.
