Jakarta, 27 May 2022 – A new and iconic destination has arrived in East Jakarta: Old Shanghai Sedayu City at Kelapa Gading. Started operations (soft opening) and opening to the public on May 27, a thematic culinary tourism destination with pagoda in the center as a landmark, as great as to Pantjoran PIK which is located in Golf Island, PIK.

Located in Sedayu City Kelapa Gading, Old Shanghai curates more than 80 tenants and is home to various type of culinary to eat such as street food, Peranakan, to a variety of Halal and Non-Halal culinary so it is suitable for relaxing with friends and family.

The various tenants with legendary and modern dishes present in Old Shanghai including Shu Guo Yin Xiang (open soon in July 2022), Xiao La Guo, Mutiara Restaurant, Ponggol Nasi Lemak, Croco by Monsieur Spoon, Bacang Agiok, Zangrandi Ice Cream, Es Kopi Tak Kie, Laota Ge Express, Lo Mie Pinangsia, Ya Kun Kaya Toast, and so many other legendary F&B tenants. Not only restaurants, some snacks from UMKM presented in a pushcart be more accessible as they were located at various points in Old Shanghai Sedayu City at Kelapa Gading area.

In addition to F&B, there are also various other tenants such as Pin Grocery, Rezeki Buah, Ichinogami, Canvas Living, Moonrabbit by Scoop, Peripera, Nature Republic, Sovlo, Stoberi,  Selfie Time dan and Amazone, Children's game center.

Established since 1973, Mutiara Restaurant serves Chinese Traditional dishes with favorite menus such as: Hokkien Lomie Special, Complete Carp Fish Soup (served with Hotpot), Lindung Cah Fumak, Fried Oysters, Hong Pork, Hipiau Kuah, Kidney Cook Arak Jahe and many other legendary menus.

Also Ponggol Nasi Lemak, which was founded in 1979. Ponggol Nasi Lemak is a heritage brand that serves one of the most iconic foods in Singapura. Under the guidance of founders Mr. Ang Chye Choon and Madam Koh Ah Tan, Ponggol began with delivering traditional nasi lemak wrapped in banana leaves to distributor and snack shops in Singapore. Currently, Ponggol Nasi Lemak has succeeded in regenerating to keep up with era development while maintaining its authenticity.

Complying with protocols related to Covid-19, Old Shanghai Sedayu City Kelapa Gading applies regulations according to the provisions of the Government of Indonesia. For all visitors and tenants, the Management of Old Shanghai Sedayu City will require temperature checks, the use of masks indoors, and maintaining distance from each other. The management also implements obligation of visitors to scan Peduli Lindungi at various access points in the Old Shanghai area. In an effort to encourage visitors to always maintain cleanliness, the Management also provides Hand Sanitizers in Old Shanghai.

Old Shanghai is open every day, from Monday–Friday at 10.00 WIB to 22.00 WIB and Saturday–Sunday and National Holidays at 07.00 WIB to 23.00 WIB. With three main gates as access, namely: Emperor's Fortress, Phoenix Gate, and Tiger Gate.
