Tangerang, 31 August 2023 – HOPE Academy, an international standard Christian school under the auspices of the Pelita Harapan Education Foundation (YPPH), continues to prove its real commitment to advancing education in Indonesia by expanding school to the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 area, Teluknaga, Tangerang Regency. Thursday, August 31 2023, HOPE Academy held a Groundbreaking Ceremony or laying of the first stone which marked the start of construction of HOPE Academy PIK 2.

This ceremony was held at PIK 2, and attended by Dr. (HC) James T. Riady as the Founder and Chairman of the Trustees of YPPH; Dr. (Hon.) Jonathan L. Parapak, M.Eng.Sc., as Head of YPPH; Dr. Stephanie Riady, B.A., M.Ed., as Executive Director of YPPH; Sugianto Kusuma as Chairman of Agung Sedayu Group; Natalia Kusumo as CEO of Hotels and Malls (Amantara); Dr. Jeane Marie Tulung, S.Th., M.Pd., Director General of Christian Community Guidance, Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) RI; and Cahyo Rahadian Muzhar, S.H., LL.M., as Director General of General Legal Administration of the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham). This groundbreaking procession is proof of HOPE Academy PIK 2's readiness to provide the best education system and facilities for its students.

The HOPE Academy PIK 2 building is prepared for a capacity of more than 1000 students, providing and serving various levels of education with an international standard curriculum, starting from early childhood education (Pre-School), Elementary School (Elementary School), Junior High School (Junior High). School), to Senior High School (Senior High School).

Natalia Kusumo as CEO of Hotels and Malls (Amantara) said that PIK 2 is a comprehensive and integrated area that not only provides residential, office, health and entertainment areas, but also focuses on quality education. She said, "We are developing the 'Edu City' area at PIK 2 which in the future will become a center for various educational institutions and their supporting facilities. We hope that the construction of the HOPE Academy can run well and smoothly, so that it can start operating according to the target in July 2025.
