IPPA FEST 2025 AT ALOHA PIK2 SUCCESSFULLY SHOWCASES CREATIVITY OF INMATES FROM ACROSS INDONESIA

The Indonesian Prison Product and Art Festival (IPPA Fest) 2025, which showcased works by inmates from all over Indonesia, was held as part of the celebration of the 80th Independence Day of Indonesia and as an appreciation of the creative works of prison inmates. The exhibition, held at Aloha Beach PIK2, was made possible through cross-sector collaboration between the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections (IMIPAS), Agung Sedayu Group, MSMEs, and correctional inmates from various parts of Indonesia.

Carrying the theme "Creativity Behind The Bars" or "Free to Create Despite Limited Space", IPPA Fest 2025 serves as tangible proof of the extraordinary potential of inmates, as well as the results of prison self-reliance development programs.
Minister of Immigration and Corrections, Agus Andrianto, said, “These are products from the Work Training Centers (BLK) or MSMEs nurtured by correctional facilities and detention centers throughout Indonesia. These are products that we need to show to the public — that inmates, despite their limitations, are still able to contribute to society and the country.”

A total of 7,519 products and 120 paintings by inmates were displayed and made available for purchase by visitors. The exhibition featured paintings, batik fashion, culinary creations, and other creative MSME products. Aloha PIK2 acted as a partner in promoting and spreading the works of the inmates.
“PIK2 provides the widest possible space for all Indonesian people to grow together. Therefore, we are delighted to welcome IMIPAS’s invitation to collaborate in holding the IPPA Fest 2025 at Aloha PIK2. We hope that events like this can increase the marketability of products made by prison inmates in the future,” said Richard Kusuma, CEO of PIK2, who also attended the opening of IPPA Fest 2025.
ASG Director of Advertising and Promotion, Miranda Dyah Widiastuti K, also said that IPPA Fest 2025 will be held not only to coincide with Independence Day celebrations, but also to mark the second anniversary of Aloha PIK2. According to her, this makes the three-day exhibition a very special moment.

During the three days of the event, IPPA Fest 2025 also held activities such as a fun walk, group exercise, and various competitions on Saturday, August 9, 2025, participated in by the entire IMIPAS family. The festival concluded with a variety of performances, including music from inmate representatives, modern dance, and barongsai (lion dance), which drew great enthusiasm from the public.
