TELUKNAGA ELDERLY COLLECTIVE WEDDING CEREMONY PROTECTING LOVE, ACHIEVING LEGALITY
A total of 56 elderly couples in Teluknaga Sub-district were finally able to confirm their marriages legally in accordance with the law through the Elderly Collective Wedding Ceremony, which was held at the Teluknaga Sub-district Common Building Hall on 28 May 2025. This event was the outcome of a meaningful collaboration between the CSR program of PT Pantai Indah Kapuk Dua, Tbk, and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Teluknaga District.
This activity was attended by couples aged 35 years and above who previously only married religiously without having legal state documents. By holding a confirmation of the wedding session as the main event, they are now legally registered in the state administration, obtaining clarity of legal status, and opening access to civil rights that were previously difficult for them to obtain.
This activity is not just a ceremony. It is a bridge to legal recognition and protection for citizens, especially the elderly who have been left out of marriage administration. Through this CSR, PIK2 emphasizes its commitment to remain present in the community by providing solutions to real social problems.
“I got the information from MUI Teluknaga District that there is this event, thank you to ASG for supporting the confirmation trial wedding session, so that I got a marriage certificate and recorded in the civil registry,” said Abdul Rozak from Tegal Angus Village, who also works as a security at the Pantai Indah Kapuk Estate Management Office.
In addition to raising awareness of the importance of marriage registration, this activity also reflects the power of collaboration between the business world and religious institutions. This kind of synergy is an excellent example that social development is not only the responsibility of the government, but also part of the private sector's contribution in realizing a fair and prosperous society.
With such a successful implementation of this event, it is hoped that more and more parties will be inspired to encourage similar programs in other regions.
