Starting from the great sense of brotherhood and sisterhood and unity to promote mutual education, UKMShape initated the idea of creating a Center for Activities to Support Higher Education Activities together with 8 leading Malaysian universities and in collaboration with the Indonesian party represented by PT Edvan Idegaia Solution. The eight universities are, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Universiti Pendidikan Sutan Idris (UPSI), Multimedia University (MMU), Spectrum International University College (SIUC), and University of Cyberjaya (UOC).

Thursday, 8th August 2024, an inauguration ceremony was held for the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Coastal Learning Center at Manhattan Shophouse no. 1,2, and 3 which are on Jalan Thamrin PIK2. The event, which was inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia, Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir, is a collaboration in the field of Malaysian-Indonesian education through Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said that the presence of the Higher Education Activity Center in Indonesia is not to create competition with local campuses. But to jointly support the world of education.
UKM Chancellor Prof. Dato' Dr. Ekhwan bin Haji Toriman at Pantai Indah Kapuk stated that, "This Educational Activity Support Center is a one-stop solution for prospective Indonesian students who are interested in continuing their higher education in Malaysia, open to the public and anyone can consult regarding the admissions process, permits and study fields."

At this Educational Support Center there is no process for accepting students and has not yet become a place for learning to take place. Prof. Dato' Dr. Ekhwan bin Haji Toriman also added that current the licensing process is being submitted to the relevant institutions within the Indonesian Government so that in the future it is hoped that the Educational Support Center can become a center for educational activities. The classrooms provided in the building are intended as aplace for educational collaboration activities with Indonesia, such as seminars and discussions related to collaboration programs between Indonesia and Malaysia. Apart from that, the UKM Specialist Center was also opened which can become a consultation center for the public in the medical field. Of course, this Educational Activity Support Center is fully supported by the Malaysian Embassy to Indonesia and EMGS (Education Malaysia Global Services). He also explained that PIK2 is a special area for higher education because apart from the easy access, being located close to the airport is one of the most important things for students to move from one area to another. This area also has many conveniences that can be provided for students, especially in terms of conducive building facilities, the many amenities available and even the convenience of accommodation and food and drink.

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia is one of the best universities in Malaysia, occupying the 5th best ranking in Asean and occupying QS Ranking 138. UKMShape is the Center for the Formation of Advanced & Professional Education, an institution under UKM which manages the field of international collaboration. Also in 2024, UKM will open a Representative Campus in Qatar, UAE. This also strengthens the collaborative relationship between Indonesia and Malaysia to work together to advance the quality of human resource education.
