A NEW HOPE FOR THE NATION’S CHILDREN Inauguration of Two School Buildings in Tangerang Regency

Monday, July 14, 2025, became an unforgettable day for the communities of Salembaran Jati and Tanjung Burung villages in Tangerang Regency. Two schools, SDN Salembaran I and SDN Tanjung Burung, officially received new buildings that are more proper, safe, and comfortable thanks to the CSR programs of PT Kukuh Mandiri Lestari and PT Pantai Indah Kapuk Dua, Tbk, both of which are part of Agung Sedayu Group.

At SDN Salembaran I, a brand-new building now stands proudly on land also donated by PIK2. Equipped with 12 classrooms, a laboratory, a health room (UKS), teachers' room, and sanitation and clean water facilities, the school is now ready to welcome the 2025–2026 academic year with greater enthusiasm. The school was inaugurated by Tangerang Regent, Moch. Maesyal Rasyid, accompanied by the Head of Tangerang Regency Education Office, H. Dadan Gandana, S.STP., M.Si., Head of Salembaran Jati Village, Pandu Triwijaya, and Dr. Ir. H. Restu Mahesa, M.M., Estate Management Director of Agung Sedayu Group. “Alhamdulillah, today the new building of SDN Salembaran Jati 1 is ready for use thanks to the CSR contribution from Agung Sedayu Group,” said Maesyal Rasyid.
Likewise, SDN Tanjung Burung now has a newly built, representative teachers’ office that provides a more comfortable working space to support the performance of educators. This facility is expected to be a center of collaboration and innovation in the teaching and learning process.

In his speech, Restu Mahesa expressed that PIK2 always wishes to grow in harmony with the people of Tangerang Regency and surrounding areas, in line with its ongoing development. “We also want the community to feel the benefits of growing together with PIK2. One example is today, we are helping with the construction of a building that will serve as the teachers’ office for SDN Tanjung Burung. We sincerely hope this will bring real benefits, that teachers will feel more supported, and students will become even brighter,” he said.
Maya, one of the parents, expressed her gratitude, “In the past, the rooms leaked and often flooded. Now they’re so much better, and our children are happy and eager to learn.”

This development serves as concrete proof of the private sector’s concern for the future of education. Beyond physical construction, it represents a real investment in hope, for children who deserve a brighter future.
